Founded in 2007 and headquartered in San Diego, California, Terra-Gen is one of the largest integrated, independent renewable energy power producers in the United States, with a gross operating portfolio of roughly 3.8 gigawatts and 5.1 gigawatt-hours of energy storage across wind, solar, and geothermal technologies, concentrated primarily in California and Texas. Terra-Gen is jointly owned by Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) and Igneo Infrastructure Partners, and it has built the largest wind farm and one of the largest solar-plus-storage projects in the country. The company provides end-to-end development, financing, construction, and operations services.
