Founded in 2016 by the former executive team of First Wind Energy and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, Longroad Energy is a US-based renewable energy company with roughly 220 employees that develops, owns, and manages wind, solar, and storage projects throughout North America. Longroad has developed or acquired 7.1 gigawatts of renewable energy projects and raised more than $20 billion in equity, debt, and tax equity financing. The company is backed by the New Zealand Superannuation Fund and Infratil Limited, giving it a long-term investment horizon free of fund-style timing constraints, and it has signed major long-term power agreements with technology companies like Meta.
