Founded in 2004 as Geronimo Energy and headquartered in Bloomington (Minneapolis), Minnesota, Geronimo Power is a farmer-founded, community-focused renewable energy developer that designs, constructs, owns, and operates utility-scale solar and wind projects, along with energy storage, across the United States. The company rebranded from National Grid Renewables in 2026 after Brookfield acquired the business, and it is known for its emphasis on positive economic impact for landowners and rural communities. Geronimo Power has commissioned numerous large-scale solar farms across the Midwest, South, and beyond.
